In partnership with local women’s health clinic, provide leadership, program development, fundraising, strategy, community outreach, and mentorship for this non-profit that works to strengthen women’s global health infrastructures and promote social justice.
- Operations & Facilities: Ensure standardization of clinical protocol is met and assessed regularly. Spearhead needs assessment and on-site evaluations. Ensure clinic has up-to-date, fully functioning equipment and facilities. Secured funding, purchased, and led logistics for building of flagship clinic and transportation of equipment for Cervical Cancer Initiative.
- Program Development: Develop, oversee, and monitor all outreach programs. Organization has provided eyeglasses for 100 midwives, helped communities to increase income through collective farming, forged teams of public health officials, artists, and midwives to identify themes for and completion of ten (plus) permanent public art murals, mobilized U.S. clinics and NGOs on equipment acquisitions and corporate donations.
- Fundraising: Lead fundraising efforts, execute grants, and cultivate major donors.
- Community Outreach: Assemble and maintain large network of partnerships including corporate, universities, governmental agencies, NGOs, and local leaders.
- Training & Development: Orchestrated Midwifery Training for 75 local midwives to triage high risk patients. Provided 20 nursing scholarships for Rural Nurses Project. Organized advanced training for ASCCP in Managua.
- Mentorship: Provide oversight and advise graduate students, Fulbright scholars, and clinicians conducting research.
